Hi again...
2 new problems that hopefully someone can solve.

1) When i ctrl/alt/del to bring up the task manager in Xp
it brings it up but the Task manager only shows the
programs running. Not the Applications, processes etc...
Is there any way to re-set the task manager so it opens
properly so that i can close some of the apps that the
computer is running (Its slowing it right down)

2) When i'm on my desktop PC, i open my folders and open
files here there and everywhere then when i close all the
windows that are open, an error message appears telling me
that Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs
to close. Then windows resets the desktop and closes any
programs running. Any ideas would be great.
Many thanks (Again)
Alistair

Double click the border around the box that has the list of programs.

Hi Alistair,

1) Double click on the border of the task-manager and that shoudl bring back the other tabs.

2) The windows shell (explorer.exe) seems to be crashing in this case. To find out what may be
causing this, type eventvwr.msc at Start >> Run and navigate to 'System' within Event Viewer. Look
for entries related to explorer.exe and double click them. You should find additional details about
the cause of the error in there.
