I've set up an administrator account and several standard accounts
(including my own) on my system as suggested in one of the Vista tip
graphics. I backup frequently, so I have made an initial full file backup
using the administrator account. I set it up so that it backs up weekly.
However, I just realized that using my everyday standard account won't allow
the backup to proceed. So...I went into policies and added BACKUP user type
to my everyday standard account. I then tried a follow up backup. It now
asked me for either the standard account password or the administrator
password.
If I enter the former, I get a message stating
Windows Backup
---------------------------
Windows could not launch the automatic backup job for the following reason:
Access is denied. (0x80070005)
Try again.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
If I enter the latter (administrator account), I get this message
---------------------------
Windows Backup
---------------------------
The RUNAS command is not supported. You must run this program as the
logged-in user.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
For crying out loud... haha
btw, I get these messages logged in as standard account...with Backup member
policy.
