More Audio Questions

I posted yesterday about editing curse words out of a video file. I
imported the file into MM and tried editing the audio within MM. That
looked like it would be more trouble than editing it in my normal audio
editor. I've done the latter, and now have the audio edited and saved
as a WAV file. Here's my questions:

1. Will I have problems importing the wav file into my video and using
the audio from that instead?

1. When placing the scenes on the timeline it changes the audio to a
very low sample rate, resulting in the "metallic" sound that people
have posted about here. I can't find a way to prevent it from doing
this. Is it going to do that to the wav file I import? Is there a way
to prevent this?

2. When I imported the WMV file into MM it chopped it into about 10
separate scenes that I had to reassemble on the timeline. That's not
such a big deal but if anyone knows how to make it come in as one scene
could they tell me?

Thanks,
-Scott

====================================
On your "Import File" screen...
uncheck "Create clips for video files".

No, just drop it on the audio/music track adn mute the video audio track.

I've not come across this myself, what file type is it you are using? I'd
suggest spending two seconds imorting the wav and trying it to see.

There is an option to split by scene, uncheck this box and it'll come in, in
one piece.
