Sorry, what I'm looking for is to lay out calendar items already entered in a
month/week at a glance view, like Outlook offers, so that the user can see
what appointments they have, and click on one to edit it.
Right now, all I have is a continuous form with a list of records sorted
chronologically.

What you are asking is more like... Do you have a database that does a
calendar like Access? I think you should search online for that because
that is more then just a few lines of code. Here are some places to
