Start->Run->outlook.exe /cleanviews Note the space before the /. For details on command line switches in Outlook, open Help and type in "additional command line switches" - some of them are lifesavers.

|| shortcut to see if there are parameters that would cause it to start
|| in day view. Otherwise, try starting Outlook one time with the
