Is there any built-in feature in Windows XP (Home edition)
that allows parents to monitor the amount of time that
children spend on the computer? I'm only interested in
knowing how much TIME a particular person is spending on
the computer, not all the different things, applications,
web sites, etc that they have visited.

At the end of a week, for example, I would like to be able
to know how much time Johnny has spent on the computer
doing things, and how much time Sally has spent on the
computer, etc. The report/log might say something like,
the user "Johnny" spent 17.8 hours logged in to the
computer doing things last week, etc.

Thanks for any input from anyone.

If you spent more time with your kids instead of spying on them, you
wouldn't have to worry about it. :-)

While I do agree that spending time with one's little ones is always a good
idea, and productive, there are those times that we (as parents) can't
always be sitting besides our children.

You'll want to look for some products like parental controls or online
timers for your child. You'll also want to make sure that you have your
Windows XP setup with different user profiles for each person in order to
better enable to tracking.

I don't know of any products off-hand that will do what you're specifically
asking, but you may want to check some websites (like downloads.com,
tucows.com) for further information/availability/pricing/etc.

Hope this helps :)
