Is this the very same instant the game starts or does it happen after a

I'd guess it *could* be the monitors way of telling you the game is trying
to run in and unsupported resolution or refresh rate. If the games have a
"safe mode" run them in that and see what happens. Also try downloading the
latest driver for your video card - to work out what video card you have go
to
http://windows.dasmirnov.net/guides/hardware.php then go to the
respective manufactures website. Some suppliers/builders of computers have
the drivers on their own website so check there too.
Or perhaps it's a hardware fault.
If the machine is only 2 weeks old then surely it's got to be covered by who
you brought it from.
