when i shut down my computer then later try to turn it back on, the monitor wont turn o
i end up killing the power strip,turning it back to get the monitor to turn on . this doesnt seem to safe for the comp.wouldnt that be improper shutdown.the computer pwers up
just no screen to look at. please help
 
Have you looked at your settings in display properities. Go to control panel, display properities, screen saver tab, power button and check your settings.
 
This sounds like a hardware issue with your monitor.
