Monitor won't turn on

hooray we got a new computer a month or 2 ago

the problem is the monitor will not always turn on when I turn the computer on

I turn the computer on and if it makes a beep then the monitor works
but it usually doesn't beep and hence the monitor doesnt work
... any ideas on how to fix this annoying problem???

Phone them up, it is under warrantee, and is a hardware problem ...

Yeah when you get your new monitor stop leaving it in standby

Not only will it damage it over a long period but it also uses electricity
