Let's get a little clarification:

Is it the MONITOR that is failing to display, or is it the fact that the
PC isn't booting up to send a SIGNAL to the monitor? Does the PC work
fine with a different monitor on it?

Hi there Tried a different monitor just the same but once the screen comes
on no problem at all. Does the bios send start signal or agp card?

Yes, at boot (or reboot) the BIOS sends a request to the Video BIOS to
reinitialize the video card. At least it is supposed to - I've seen a
few systems where this didn't work (usually fixed by a BIOS update on
the motherboard .. sometimes requires an update of the Video
BIOS/drivers too). If the card doesn't initialize correctly, you get no
video output, and the CRT/TFT goes into 'no signal' sleep mode (black
screen).

Check the Gigabyte newsgroup (using groups.google.com, or point your
newsreader at and see if any
of the experts there can help you. If you happen to have another video
card, try that (although, as I say, most times it is the mainboard BIOS
that is at fault).

Hi thanks for replying this is my second attempt at an answer
Tried a different monitor just the same I dont know if the Bios sends the
start signal via the bios or if the AGP card does it, question should I look
in the bios or scrap the AGP card.
Thanks

See my first reply Tony! Best bet is a BIOS update, if there is one
available. If you have another card, you can try it, but when I've had
this problem swapping the video card didn't help.
