Monitor Shutting off after 20 mnts.

Hello,

I have a strange problem. My monitor turns off every 20
minutes on my Windows XP professiona. I knew by default
the monitor shut off after 20 mts., if computer is
inactive. I set the monitor turn off time and saved it as
Office/Desk1. I did it with Admin. and also as user with
admin rights. It doesn't work. I mean the monitor turns
off after 20 minutes. I can see Never on Power Options
Properties window. It's a dell 8300, with XP home
installed. I upgraded to XP Pro.

What I am doing wrong? How can I solve this probem?

Hey Madduri,

I'm not certain with the Dells, but there might be power settings in your
bios that are conflicting. If the settings there say to shut off the
monitor after 20 minutes it won't matter what XP says. Check your
documentation to see how to modify the bios as it varies by machine.
