Monitor Shrinking?

Hi:
This morning, I noticed the monitor which is old-fashioned and bulky type is
shrinking, ... like a half inch minus all around the screen. Thus, it's like
16 inch
screen instead of 17 inch of the monitor-screen.

Wonder how to fix this problem, ... starting to shrink all around the
monitor?

Well, if adjusting the vertical and horizontal sizing controls on the
front of the monitor do no good, it's most likely time to replace it.

I followed the instruction, above, however 'Stretch'
is grayed-out, thus I am unable to do any.

Wonder why 'grayed-out?'

"Stretch" in the display properties would only apply to the
presentation of the chosen desktop picture; it has no affect upon the
entire display.

Depending on the background color, if the property is set to "Center" and the icons
are far enough away from the borders, it may appear that it's the monitors screen
area, hence my reason for mentioning it. I've run into it a few times and changing
the property from Center to Stretch took care of it.
