monitor problems

I did a reformate on my computer *windows XP dimisions
4600c and now my monitor is stuck on default and I cant
change the settings. Everything is way too big could
anyone please help you can email me or I have the
messenger (msn)

Check the resolution setting, under Control Panel|DISPLAY|SETTINGS

1024 X 768 works well for a 17" monitor.
 
Go to your device manager and see if the display has any yellow exclamation
or question marks. This would indicate the correct drivers are not
installed. If you have any with the yellow , delete them, then reboot and
let XP reinstall the drivers.
