monitor problems

-- Windows 98
After a reboot, the icons all grew large and colors were wrong (cannot see
all of them). Other web pages and document are grainy. You can not change
the icon size and the screen area cannot be changed. Device manages says the
right monitor driver is installed. I rebotted dozens of times. I changed
the colores from 16 to 2, rebooted, and back to 16, no change. I changed to
a different monitor, same problem.
Any suggestions?

This is Windows 2000 group so is not the correct place for Windows 98
questions. As a suggestion though, install correct video adapter drivers
for the unit.
