On my last birthday I got a new monitor (Envision is the brand name.) I hooked
it up to my computer, installed the drivers and it worked great. Then I bought
a new and bigger hard drive and installed that. I had to reinstall all my
applications and drivers. But now my monitor is acting funky. Almost every
time I boot my computer up the screen has either shrunk or enlarged in width
and I have to reset it with the buttons on the monitor. Also when I start and
exit some applications, mostly games, the monitor makes a loud click and
readjusts itself so that it's all out of whack again and I have to adjust the
screen size again. Sometimes I have to use the setting called "pincussion" to
make the edges of the screen straight again instead of curved. I've tried
reinstalling the driver several times and even playing with the pixel settings
under control panel/display, but I still have the same problems.
I don't understand why I am having this problem now. Everything is the same as
when the monitor was working great except for the new hard drive and I don't
see how that has anything to do with it. Does anyone know what the problem may
be?
My system is Windows 98.
Thank you for any help,
Gary
