Do you lose any performance or color fidelity when you use a
monitor/mouse/keyboard switching device (two PC's using one keyboard, mouse
and monitor)? I have one PC I'm using for graphics and I'd like to set up
another PC for gaming and use my existing monitor for both....

THANKS!

Probably not if you use a good box, good cables and keep them short. I
use a couple of MiniView 4-ways (Best Buy - about $79) between Windows and
Linux boxes to a 21 inch CRT monitor and I can't see any difference.
However, if you use a super sharp large LCD at some monsterous resolution
you will probably see some degradation. If you use a mechanical switcher,
you have had it. You will be lucky to read a black DOS screen.

But, I had a 4way KVM job before these and the degradation was horrible
once I went above 800x600 - shadows, blurring, ghosts, etc. Don't know if
it was the cables or the box.
