Monitor hardware states?

My machine (VAIO desktop) can, in the setup
state (tap F2 at beginning of boot-up), do
real-time monitoring of various things, such as
the various voltages, the fan speeds, and the
crucial temperatures (the latter became of
interest to me when I briefly questioned the
current effectiveness of my machine's cooling).

Does anyone know of a way to do similar
hardware monitoring when Win XP is up and
running? There are tools for monitoring
system stats such as CPU usage, but I don't
see any for monitoring hardware states.

Thanks.

Check with the motherboard manufacturer to see if they supply such a utility. I
know Intel does. You will also find this information available in the
Computer -> Sensor branch of this program.
