My computer monitor starts leaving traces of pixels all
over the screen, sometimes once a day. I have a SAMtron
96B and am using windows 2000. When scrolling a document
up or down, "it leaves a trail" of dots on the screen
HOWEVER, when activating the Monitor's Display Menu, the
dialog boxes are crystal clear...resetting the monitor
does not fix it either. I always have to reboot. I have
reloaded the Samtron drivers but windows prefers the 2000
drivers. Nothing freezes and all mouse pointer actions
work- I just can't see it ! Suggestion ?

the problem may be in the drivers for your video card rather than the
monitor
see if the mfg has updated drivers...

You might try installing the latest video driver or
lowering the Hardware Acceleration, this can be done by:
Opening Control Panel, Display, selecting the "Settings"
tab, then "Advanced" at the bottom, select
Troubleshooting. Lower the "Hardware Acceleration" one
notch at a time.

You may also consider upgrading your Video Card.

Hope this helps.
