monitor brightness contrast

I was trying to configurate the monitor of my laptop and
I got to a screen where I could change the brightness,
contrast and color balance of the monitor. After I
restarted my computer I tryed to find this window again
and I just couldnt. Please help me find this control!! I
have window XP.

You could try right-clicking on your desktop and choosing Properties. Click
the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button. There are plenty of
settings to change in there.

Also, there are ususally brightness and/or contrast buttons on a laptop's
keyboard, usually involving pressing the funtion key and the buttons with
the corresponding pictures on them (up and down arrows on some Dell models,
F2 and F3 on some HP models)
