Molebox Launcher at startup

A new surprise. A window pops up and states "MoleBox Launcher" in the
upper left hand corner. Inside the box it states:

Packed by Molebox (trial version)
MoleBox 2.1.9 (c)2002-2003 MoleStudio.com, http://www.molestudio.com

I gather this is a program used by programmers to bunch dll files etc.

Where do I go to in the registry or wherever to get rid of this
display.

Thanks,

Gerald

Hi Gerald,

Start/run msinfo32, expand the software environment and click on the startup
programs. Look here for a line referencing that and make note of where it is
loading from. This is where you will need to go to disable it.

I've had the same probem start today. I don't know how it got past my
firewall. If done as mentioned above and can't see any reference to
it.

Hi,

Anything in the startup folders?

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You are infected with a MoleBox compressed variant of Backdoor-AZV.

See:

-- Update Dec 11th 2003 --

An additional variant of this remote access trojan has been found in
the field, which has been packed with the MoleBox packing application.
Detection of this is included in the 4309 DAT files.

No! I've searched everywhere and I can't see it. THere is a long
thread on this on some scandinavian group but i can't read
Swedish/Norwegian.

Something has also apeared to stop my cable modem from working, even
though the data LED on it is flashing suggesting that some sort of
data transfer is occuring and my HD light on the PC is flashing. I
have to disconnect the cable modem and re-connect to get it working
properly. I wonder if these two things are related. I have Norton
Personal Firewall 2002 and its updated.
