Oh dear... a cat wanders into someone's kitchen, uninvited, so what did they do...? Yup, they dialled 999 :confused: Linky.
 
Well people like that should be charged with wasting police timewith a minimum fine of £1000 [sirry idiots]:wall:
999 which service please ambulance, I cut myself shaving.:D

Well in Wales, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Sheffield... the "non emergency" number is 101. But clearly, that doesn't help folk who are living everywhere else :(

It might be sensible to introduce 101 as the non emergency number all over the UK. But, there again, most people imagine "their emergency" is of the serious type, no matter how trivial it seems to the rest of us, and would still dial 999.

Apparently you can also use 112 as an alternative to 999. 112 is used throughout most of Europe so how long before we are "forced" by EU law to use it?
 
Heard that on R 4 as I was driving, nearly crashed the car.
