Modifying 'Privacy' setting quickly

I don't like to accept served cookies so normally leave my setting at 'Block
All'. But some sites require them and so I have to get into Tools, Options,
Privacy, adjust the 'privacy' setting, Apply, log into the site, readjust my
'privacy' setting, apply, General tab, eliminate the cookie I was just
served, then 'OK' out of Tools. A lot of keystrokes and time just to
preserve my privacy and keep unwanted nastiness off my machine.

So, is there a way to do this with much less effort?

Thanks much.

When you visit a site with blocked cookies, there should be an icon in
the status bar that looks like a cookie or perhaps the bell of a tuba
and a red circle with a white line through it. If you dubble-click on
this and then click on the site, you can quickly set that particular web
site to "always allow" cookies, while leaving your defaults at "always
block".

Hey Kent,

That speeds things up a bit. It'd still be nice to have software to have a
privacy report "slide bar" available all the time for changes, for folks
like me who care about these things. But I didn't know about this icon.
Thanks so much.
