KInd Regards,

When you modify the user fields in BCM, that information is stored in
the database, and will be used by all of the database's shared users.
I don't know when that data gets refreshed; if its everytime you open
a form. But at a minimum, everytime you start Outlook, BCM will fetch
the latest user fields information from the database.

The BCM clients should get updated immediately: they poll for DB changes
every second and will pick up the schema change at that time.

Yehia:

You first asked about "forms" and they answered about "fields". Did you
customize BCM forms or the database schema (add additional fields)?

Ron: as BCM polls for database changes and updates the schema, will it
update the offline database's schema stored on a laptop also? Or, does that
happen when it synchs?

Thanks,
Lon

Hi Lon,

By modifying a form i had meant adding user defined fields to the
existing form. Once you add a field i believe the database schema is
also modified on the SQL server.

I have not found a way to actually modify the form physically, as in
modify layout and/or the existing defualt fields. If you know of a way
i would appreciate some references.

Cheers,

I'm trying to get more info but it's hard to find... In the Outlook
newsgroup, the generally accepted wisdom is that "it's possible" but not
easy and not too reliable, especially getting multiple users in your
workgroup all on the same form. If I get some concrete info, I'll post
again...

Thanks,
Lon
