Hi.

I have just installed Windows 2000 pro and have installed
the drivers on the computer. They are the current drivers.
I try to connect to the internet and I get error 692.
Hardware failed for modem or something like it. It is
compatible on Windows 2000 and I do all that the windows
help says I should do. However, the error still comes up.
I attempt to try to find the modem through hardware wizard
but it does not detect the modem. It is an internal modem.
Please help me in trying to solv this problem!

Cheers,
Paul

Are you sure you have the correct drivers for the modem.
Has the modem been setup in device manager and there are
no errors.
Have you tested the modem from within Control Panel using
the diagnostics tab.

If this fails please reply again with findings
