modem on hold

Can someone please tell me how to access the modem on hold feature? I have a
v.92 modem with Vista. Unfortunately, dial up is the only option for me at my
home and I don't want to miss calls.

Go to the modem mftr.'s website (or the OEM's website for your specific
model computer if you have that sort of machine - Dell, HP, Sony, etc.)
and download/install the latest drivers for Vista. It's the drivers that
provide the advanced features for your hardware, not the operating system.
