Howdy,

I have my dial-up connection set to close if idle for ten minutes.

I just returned from a trip to discover that my system remained
connected for about thirty-five hours.

What am I missing here?

Thanks for any help,

maybe it was lonely???

or maybe your connection is never idle for 10 minutes... if you sit there
and play solitare for 10 minutes does it hang up for you??

"Connection keep alive" set up, Norton System works 2003 has this ability,
if you set it up. I'm sure there are many other programs that will, too.
Also, have you checked for the presense of spyware on your machine?

Howdy,

I will look into the "keep-alive" possibility, but feel confident that
tit is not a spyware problem. I check that regularly...

Thanks,
