Modem driver problems or XP Pro ?

My internet connection will not disconnect after
streaming on the web.
My modem is a usb broadband Voyager supplied by BT
broadband .com in the U.K.

I think it could be the driver and I need to find out if
anyone else has had the same problem.

Computer is
1300 mzh duron
40 + 120 mgb hard drive
512 k Memory
5.1 sound blaster card
830 CF motherboard
windows XP (pro)
