Modem disable

I'm using XP Profesional. Not sure why when try to create
a new internet connection, the modem selection is hide.
It not allow me to choose or click on the option and the
only option available is through Broadband or DSL.
Why my modem option has been hide ?
Appreciated is anyone can help.

It's usually the first of these.
Common cause is upgrading to XP Pro over XP home+SP1.
Fix is to re-install SP1.
