Are there any new drivers available for this modem? You don't actually say
what is happening with your modem. As it is a USB modem was the modem
connected during the install of Vista? When installing a new operating
system it is far better to unplug and external peripherals, USB printers,
modems etc and then replug them in one by one after install.
Is the modem visible in device manager? Have you installed the software that
came with the modem? Any error messages?
I use a speedtouch ADSL modem and that installed using the 'old' drivers. It
even connects to the internet. The only problem i have with it, at the
moment, is that i have to create a new internet connection everytime i boot
the machine. If i don't i simply can't connect to the web. The problem has
been bugged.
