I installed/registered/activated Windows XP last
Saturday. I then used IE to visit Yahoo etc. After a few
minutes, I noticed that my modem was sending far more
stuffs than it received. I disconnected the PC from WWW.
However, the problem did not go away. Every time I
connected to WWW (Yahoo, for example), that spontaneous
uploading of stuffs began. The uploading traffic was so
heavy that I could not browse webpages. More than 10 MB
got 'sent' that way. Mine was a new install and there
really should have nothing for others to steal.
I reformated my hard disk and installed from scratch. I
dare not connecting to WWW right now.
Does anyone have any clue what happened?
Is this part of Microsoft's 'activation'?
Thanks
