Modal forms?

Hi there,

One of our former employees design a little inventory
database utility (.mdb) in Access2000. Now, I'm trying to
access some of its tables while some of the forms are open
and data is entered in text boxes, etc. And I can't. I
already made those forms modal, enabled menu for those
forms, enables shortcut menu and toolbox. And still no
luck. Even main Access menus is not available.

Any ideas which property I'm missing?

Thank you,
oleg

When a form that is "modal" is open, you cannot access any other part of the
database...that is the purpose of "modal" forms -- you must finish with
that form and close it (or hide it) before you can access other objects.

OK. But how do I get to the Access menu? I enabled pop-ups, shortcut menus but I still can't get to the "right-click" menu or the Access toolboxes. How do I get there?

Thanks a lot,
oleg

I admit that I'm not understanding what you're doing here. Enabling things
as you state is not the solution...

Look in Tools | Startup menu, and select the checkbox that enables shortcut
menus.
