Sorry to come here for answers as this may not be the place. Does anyone know
if we can get some form of software to test whether our mobo is working or
not. Obviously we can go to the manufacturer, but with OEM machine which is
just out of warranty, the well known mobo service centre will not test for us
as its not their mobo. So I need to get hold of some programs that I can test
the mobo.IF it is not too costly. I dont mind to get one Looking forward for
some help, thanks

What is it you actually want to test? What problem are you having?
If your mobo has failed how do you expect to install and run a program?
Do you see anything when you turn the computer on (i..e does it post?)

Had changed everything and still there is nothing onthe screen, not even the
cursor when we power on. (everything - includes a known working ram, graphic,
processor, new power supply unit on this pc(1).

Few months ago, we also have a pc(2) that shows the same symptons and we
changed everything (except the psu) but the service centre was willing to
check for us because it was their brand and they diagnoised that this
motherboard(pc2) is ok and pin down to psu.

So to satisfy ourselves that there may be a problen with this mobo, we like
to test it out as we have some programs that we do not have the cd anymore.
so changing the mobo is not an immediate option.

Hope you understand what I am trying to say. So anyoneany idea? Thanks

If the PC doesn't POST (you get no display or response) then you cannot run
software on it, you need someone versed in hardware diagnostics to find out
what the problem is.
