I am considering upgrading my amd system from the asus a7nxe deluxe board to
the new
asus a8v board with 64 bit cpu perhaps 3200 .

Is the change over as easy as removing the hard drives from my old machine
and loading it to the new board or do i have to re format my drive ,and
install all new drivers since its a 64 bit system ,( if so i may want to
start backing up some things now).
Does the a8v have agp to support my fx5200 video card ?..and perhaps the a8v
board has at least 3 memory slots ?.

Be very wary of ASUS boards with VIA chip sets. I've had 4 months of
grief with an A8V-e Deluxe. The latest problem is that the USB ports
won't work at 2.0. A quick check of other forums netted two dozen other
people with the same complaint for which none have found a permanent
fix. ASUS blames M$ and M$ blames ASUS and neither will fix it. Besides
that one, the gLan refused to work at all until I got a driver directly
from Marvel and the wLan won't log on to the net unless you run as
admin with WinXP Pro SP2. I've had far less trouble with some No-Name
boards!
