Hi all,
Following on from my thread in support, I now need to replace my MoBo. The old one is an Asus A7N266-VM, about 4 years old. I have seen a replacement which is a very similar spec and I will be able to use all the bits from my old MoBo on it. Plus it won’t break the bank either.
It’s a Foxconn K7S741GXMG-6L. Has anyone had any experiences with this make of board, good or bad?
If bad, has anyone got a view on a different board I should use? It needs to support an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ processor in socket A & PC2100 266Hz DDR ram.
I would go for a newer board with all the bells & whistles but I don’t really need that much power and I haven’t got the spare cash (kids, mortgage and all that)
Thanks
Candleman
