Mobo installation went wrong

I have just installed a Gigabyte GA8IRML motherboard with 1.7 Ghz P4 CPU

When I switch on PC the power LED comes on and HDD LED flashes and then goes off.

There is no output at all to the monitor and after about 60 seconds I get 1 beep from the speaker followed by a single beep every 5-6 seconds

Any suggestions were to go from here?

CPU was 2nd hand so possibly a faulty processor? Or any other ideas would be appreciated...

Turned out to be the graphics card

Had tested the CPU in another m/b and worked fine

No inbuilt graphics and was using AGP Card

When changed to old PCI Graphics card straight past POST and trying to boot HDD although no OS installed just now

Glad it wasnt the mb or cpu a lot easier to replace graphics card
