I have a Vista Enterprise maching FULLY updated with a Samsung Blackjack that
has worked FLAWLESSLY for months. Now all of a sudden when I plug in the BJ
and watch the processes WmdHost.exe takes ALL available memory thus taking
the system to a complete stand still. The only way to clean up is to
disconnect and then KILL the process. Otherwise, the OS is hung.

I find this in the event log:

Log Name: Application

Thoughts?

Thanks,

hmmm, THANKS bob for the help, unfortunately, I think you posted the wrong
URL into your message. Unless of course your trying to play an evil trick on
me. :). The reason is the URL you posted in your message is the URL to the
forum of MY post asking about this problem. See the circular reference?

Anyways, the good news is, this morning I had plenty of time to leave the BJ
connected to Vista while I was in a meeting. After coming back an hour later
everything seems to be fine. So far at least.

So to summarize, the fix, wait a day, connect phone then walk away for more
than an hour and it works itself out. Very weird. And make note, I was NOT
attempting to upload or download from the phone anything large. Just sync'n
mail, calendar, etc.

Outside of that I would still be interested in seeing the actual link you
meant to post, only for future reference and JUST in case the problem
resurfaces.

Thanks again,
