Mobile Center and sync with Outlook

Last friday I got a new updates available warning on Vista. I've checked fot
the updates and I've had a nice surprise to see that one of the updates was
an update of the Mobile Center. This will be the succesor of ActiveSync.

After the update I plugged my PocketPC and it was amazing. The Mobile Center
started automatically with many new options. I've tried to sync my PocketPC
data with Outlook 2007 but Mobile Center says that Outlook 2007 is not
configured. ????

My first impression to see that new features are added to beta 2 throught
automatic updates is great. Also the new look of the Mobile Center is
impressing compared to old and ugly ActiveSync.

I still can't sync due to the "Outlook is not configured" problem.

Has somebody synched a PocketPC with Vista - Outlook 2007 with success?

Regards,
Angel.

Yes. I think its a PocketPC 2003. Then appeared 2003 SE and I think that now
is called Windows Mobile.

The device is a HP iPaq 4150.

Regards,
Angel.

At the moment it looks like only Windows Mobile 5 will sync. I've not had
much luck with my 2003SE Smartphone.

I hope it gets fixed soon as I want to test my PocketPC with Outlook 2007.

Thanks for the information.

Angel.

The best way is to report this bug with the feedback form. I will do it
later.

I was not sure it this was a bug or that I had to setup something in
Outlook. But after not finding a solution in this group I will report the
problem as a bug.

Angel.

Nope, Windows Mobile 5 won't sync either. I have a clean install of Vista
Beta 2, Office Beta 2007, and the updated Mobile Device Center. It won't
sync with a new iPaq or with a smart phone.

The devices are recognized, it will sync files and folders, it will NOT sync
outlook. Same error everyone else is getting, Outlook not configured. Of
course, Outlook IS configured.

Pretty happy with how xbox 360 works as a media extender, though.

I've had no luck syncing with Outlook 2007 Beta 2 either. I've got a
Pocketpc phone with 2003 SE. As with others, the file sync works fine, but
nothing regarding Outlook.

Mine is a fresh install of Vista Beta 2 32 bit.

Syncs flawlessly with my Axim X51v

I have not been able to have any meaning connection with My HTC 9100 which is
running WM 5. It identifies the device but will not correctly install the
drivers nor are there any updates that I could find
