MMC timer/scheduler doesn't always start on time

Is there any reason why the MMC 9.08 scheduler fails occasionally to
start? I've got it set up to tape the same couple of shows every
weekday at the same times each day, but once or twice a month it'll
skip a scheduled recording -- yet it WILL get the next one! Does
anyone know why this might be?

Purely out of curiosity, which Catalyst driver are you using? I had
really BAD problems with MMC 9.08 and Catalyst 5.10. The computer
didn't crash as it would still turn off from the power switch but the
dosplay would go totaly blank. Maybe it recorded, maybe not. Currently
I'm using CCC 5.5 with MMC 9.08. This MOSTLY works. The reason I used
5.5 is because the release date of the driver is the same as MMC
5/17/05. It hasn't missed a record yet, it always puts an entry into
the library but often will not play from the library. It WILL play from
the file player and if I rename the 2k .vcr file to the same name in
the library, it WILL play from the library of the file player. This is
fairly clunky but I only have to fiddle with it once an hour. It sure
would be nice if ATI could get this truly sorted out. BTW, the tuner is
an HDTV Wonder.

I never switched over to Catalyst because I don't want the .Net
Framework on my PC. I stuck with Control Panel, and am using the
current (November 2005 release) version.

So I could dump the .NET junk if I only use control panel? That would
be welcome. You might try control panel 5.5. I only tried 5.10 like I
said earlier but didn't try 5.11.This machine is used only for HDTV
Wonder, no games at all so I don't care what they 'fix' for the gamers.
