MMC/SD Reader

I cannot figure out how to access this device. It shows up
on control panel but not in the explorer window as any
drive. I want to upload pictures from a memory card but
can't figure out how to access the device. I have gone to
www.digitalfilm.com, the manufacturer twice for help and
each time am told to assign a letter to this removable
media drive so it will show in explorer. It doesn't work
when I try that. Any help? Please?

Windows XP.

I guess it's a USB device on WinXP. When you connect the device, are you
doing so with the card already in it? You should hear a sound when the
device is connected to the computer (whether it has the card in it or not)
but try disconnecting it and reconnecting it with the card inserted.

Just wondering...if you connect the USB
reader...and restart your computer...and
then go to...My Computer...is the reader
recognized as a removable drive?

It's possible that you have a conflict with
another USB device...the following article
focuses on scanners but I've seen reports
that it can affect card readers.
