When I log off our Win2000 server, I get a message that mmc.exe is not
responding. If I don't hit the "End now" button, it never logs off.
What is mmc.exe (besides being Microsoft Management Console) and what does
it do? Why does it hang up? What will ending this cause? I end up locking
my session rather than logging off. The only time I kill it is on the
occasion that I reboot.
