Hi,
w2ksp3+w2kexch.sp3
When i klick the mmc users and comp., on my w2kexchange server, it takes a
very long time ,the cpu goes up to 100% for a few minutes and then opens the
mmc.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hi Deez,

Thanks for posting here!

According to your description, I understand that when you open Active
Directory Users and Computers (ADUC), it taks a long time to open.

Based on my expeirence, this issue may occur if your computer is running as
the information server for Trend Micro's ServerProtect antivirus program.
This issue is addressed in the following KB article:
321736 Active Directory Users and Computers Management Console Causes
Computer
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=321736

You may also want to try the following solution provided by Trend Micro.
http://kb.trendmicro.com/solutions/solutionDetail.asp?solutionID=9869

NOTE: This response contains a reference to a third-party World Wide Web
site. Microsoft is providing this information as a convenience to you.
Microsoft does not control these sites and has not tested any software or
information found on these sites; therefore, Microsoft cannot make any
representations regarding the quality, safety, or suitability of any
software or information found there. There are inherent dangers in the use
of any software found on the Internet, and Microsoft cautions you to make
sure that you completely understand the risk before retrieving any software
from the Internet.

As far as I know, beside Trend Micro's ServerProtect antivirus, there are
other antivirus applications that can cause this issue. Thus, if you
installed any antivirus applications, temporarily disable it and test if
this can help. If so, you may contact the antivirus vendor to check if they
have a solution for this issue.

Hope this info helps!

Have a great day!

Hi Deez,

Just checking how it is going.

Besides the third party programs, you may also want to verify the DNS
configurations on the Exchange sever to make sure that the preferred DNS on
this server is pointing to one internal working DNS server.

More info here:

Hope this helps!
