Strange problem ...

I can use play on demand fine but if I click record to try and record a TV
program nothing happens except that the TV carries on playing and all the
buttons lock up. The only way out of the TV app. is to use the Task Manager.

Any ideas?

I'm using an 'almost' fresh (a couple of weeks old) install of Windows XP
Pro SP1, SBLive! Platinum for sound.

All worked fine on my old W2000 installation.

Cheers

I have the same video setup but different sound card. Mine works great
although I had some issues until I did a fresh install of XP.
Perhaps it's a conflict with your sound card.

I have used it before under Windows 2000 without problems? Why should WinXP
introduce a conflict? I am still using the standard WinXP drivers for the
sound card.

Seems to be resolved - I changed to MPEG1 format and it works. I was using
ATIVCR codecs but they wouldn't.

Strangely having done a couple of MPEG1 and MPEG2 recordings the ATIVCR
codecs now seem to work properly????

Oh well - at least it works even if I can't figure out why ;-)
