MM2 is one of the best new applications I've used in years. That being said, does anyone know about plans for MM3? A few features I'd like to see:

* Performance improvements
* Ability to select multiple photos and change timing, transitions, etc. in Batch mode
* Ability to nudge images, audio video or delete/add items without moving all of the other parts around.
* Another track for audio
* Adobe like frame by frame editing capabilities

Again, I love the applcation and I find Adobe just too much for what I need. However, there are quite a few improvements that I'd love to see in the next release.

Any idea as to when this might occur?

You can already do some of these. To change multiple transitions, select
contiguous set of slides in Storyboard, goto transitions, and right click on
the new transition to apply, select "Add to storyboard".

Timing is another matter and it would be really useful if one can change the
slide times in batch mode. I have tried to do this unsuccessfully by opening
the project file in a hex editor and doing search/replace. Although the part
of the layout is in xml (text mode), it is quite complicated to guess what
exactly needs to be changed.

Yes this is also a very frustrating missing feature. If one could anchor the
parts of audio and transition tracks with the main video track... it would
be easy to move things around.

I think MM3 would most probably come with Longhorn. XP SP2 would contain a
slightly improved version 2.1. Main visible improvement is the ability to
disable troublesome codecs from within MM.
