Hello Jerry,
There is no un-install feature for Movie Maker 1 or 2 and if there were I doubt
it would help you out...but if you want to try it you can locate its directory
and delete the contents, then re-boot and re-install.
Does the program close down unexpectedly when you attempt anything else?
Do you have Windows Media Player 9 installed
Do you have DirectX 9b installed
Do you have the free versions of any DVD playing software installed. If so and
provided you can re-install it, I suggest you uninstall the program. (There are
certain files called codecs that come with such programs, the older versions of
these files do not work well with Movie Maker)
Is the media that you want to add text to DivX. Problems are known to exist
between DivX and MM
