I have been running MM@ for while. Coincident with a XP
Auto Update, when I run it now, there are NO transitions
any more. There are only 2 Video effects too. Where are
the rest?

I unistalled and resinstalled, sometimes with the error
`Its already running' when I am not running it.

I have unistalled and reinstalled MM1 and MM2 dozens of
times (thanks to the posts on PapaJohn.org for that help)

But the transitions never come back. Ideas?? Is the
registry file screwed up?

Rod,

Maybe doing a restore to before the Microsoft update, and let the update
happen again.

Other than that, reinstalling MM2 some more, checking the registry info for
the DLLs, or manually registering the DLLs.

Thanks PPJ, System Restore keeps telling me it cant
restore to the date selected. Even though it appears in
the Restore list of dates to be valid. There are no dates
that dont terminate half way through the restore. Sounds
like a windows re-install, but as I only have the OEM disk
for the computer,(an off the shlef Sony VAOI with which I
have been very pleased) it will require a complete system
install.

I will try the DLL registering, but will have to do some
reading on that as that's all scarry territory. I did
donwload `Dependency' but dont know what I am doing. So, a
little knowledge can be dangerous.

Anway, I DO appreciate your time, and will update should I
achieve succes.

One question, in the MovieMaker entry in the Registry, I
notice that there are entries for Shell, and within it one
subdurectory called Open. Can I delete that and its
contents toperhaps free up the system from thinking it is
running? or did I come to the wrong conclusion?
