like i said i go save a movie with mm2 and it starts to save (estimated size >16 Mb say's it will take 16 minutes) it gets to about 24% with 11 minutes remaining as this is happeneing i'm in my task manager watching and processor use is at 100% and may page file usage is around 380-390 Mb then, the processor drops down to idle 4% or so page file usage stays the same and the estimated time to completion slowly creeps up 2-3 minutes increase per actual minutepercentage didn't change in 1/2 an hour so i had to go through my task manager to close movie maker it would not close on it's own. i can watch my storyboard in the preview screen with audio before i save. my source file is MPEG-Layer 3 what ever format that translates into and i'm saving it in .wmv format i've done this before with no problems on the same file. Anyways thanks to who ever can help i've tried papajohns and i haven't found anything that can help me in the save movie troubleshooting i've also updated my directx to the newest version fron cnet

PLEASE HELP

Maybe you are using an MPEG2 source file and have the problem with the
codec. I usually convert my MPEG2 files into WMV or DV-AVI before using them
in projects, to avoid issues like that.
