MM2 squishes my AVIs and makes everyone look fat

When I import a .avi that is 343 wide x 516 high, MM2 scrunches it to fit a
4/3 aspect ratio. I cannot find how to get it to quit doing this. The result
is that everyone looks squished vertically.

Thanks for any help.

That's a pretty unusual size. You can work with it in MM2 and then save it
again in that size, using a custom profile. It would look squished during
your project editing, but when it's back to the original size when saved,
it'll again look normal.... but text added to it during editing might look a
bit different.

See the Saving Movies > Custom WMV Profiles page of www.papajohn.org

One note is that custom profiles only accept even numbers for pixel sizes...
so you'll have to choose either 342 or 344 pixels wide.... a pretty minor
scrunch or squish.

although now that I look at the numbers - that isn't really a 16:9 ratio
either

go with the custom profile as PapaJ says

Thanks for the help. However, I cannot find "custom profiles" in the menus
or helpfile. Basically, I have not found anywhere that lets me save a movie
with anything except a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio.

Naturally I have scoured the menus and helpfile. Can you point me to a
specific place? Thanks so much.
