MM2 Scrambled Movie

I recently created my first MM2 movie by scanning a series of 102 slides and
adding a narrative audio channel. Everything looks great in the editor.
However, when I create the movie (I've used both .wmv and DV-AVI formats),
the output is scrambled. By scrambled, I mean the slide is divided into
three sections. A partial copy of the third section is overwritten on the
first section and a narrow pink band, about 3/8" wide, appears between the
second and third sections. All the information seems to be present, it's
just scrambled.

When I attempt to create a CD I get either a copy of the movie as described
above, or I get the first several slides displayed correctly followed by a
series of black slides ending with the last few slides being displayed
correctly.

What did I do wrong and how can I correct the problem?

Thanks...

That's certainly a strange one. Does it preview OK? It's possible a third
party filter is installed on your system which is somehow interfering with
MovieMaker. You can check out PapaJohn's website at http://www.papjohn.org
under the Problem Solving... Acceleration and Codecs section. If you have XP
SP2 installed then MovieMaker now has an option to turn off filters under
Tools..Options - Compatibility tab.

Yes, it seems to work just fine. Any other thoughts?

Is this a good site? I get a page cannot be displayed error.

I do have XP/SP2 on several machines. None have a Compatibility tab under
the Tools.. Options.. pull down?
In fact, the help index doesn't even have a link to a filter option. I
checked MS and I have the latest updates for MM2. Any thoughts here?

Finally, I moved several of the slide files to another computer and created
another movie in MM2. It seems to work just fine. The two computers are
alike with the exception of the amount of memory. One has 1G, the other has
256K less.

Are there any settings in the BIOS, options, etc. that might cause my
problem?

Again, thanks for any suggestions offered thus far...
