MM2 Freezes PC when clicking on video

Anytime i go down to click on the video and play it in
the timeline within a few seconds everything freezes and
i have to reset the system. Whether i put an mp3 in there
or not im gettin the same problem over and over again.
anyone know what ican do?
 
Well i did the whole renaming the codeces and i screwed
around with the acceleration slider, but it stil keeps
freezing at random times - It might freeze when i bring a
new mp3 in, it might not, it might just freeze after i
apply a transition, it might not - it might freeze even
when im just moving the cursor around. ive tried
different combinations with the renaming codecs, and
withthe acceleration - this never used to happen -
anything else i can try? =) appreciate the help
