MM2 freezes/hangs

I have the same problem that Roger reported a few days
ago. While working on my current project, the movie
maker program just stops responding. This has happened 5
or 6 times in the last 2 days. Any ideas ???

Check the Tools > Options > General > Save AutoRecover info every ....

The default of 10 minutes means that MM2 will stop what it's doing every 10
minutes and backup your current project file. As it gets bigger, the takes
longer. There isn't any flag that goes up and it appears that MM2 has
stopped responding. But it comes back when finished the backup.

Change the setting or even disable it if you want. Maybe that's what's
happening in your case.
